San Antonio and New Braunfels
San Antonio, Texas, is known across the US to have copious historical landmarks and buildings. This includes churches too. We have a wide variety of historical religious structures here. From old Spanish chapels in the Balcones Heights to Catholic Cathedrals in Loma Verde this area is rich in religious history. Many of these houses of God have the original stained glass windows still intact. These treasures are significant both for religious history and local history too. However, any glass made around the turn of the 20th century is beginning to deteriorate. This is because stained glass made around this time only lasts about 80-100 years. If not properly restored soon, these gorgeous antique church stained glass windows may be lost forever.
