Church Stained Glass Restoration for Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is truly a state founded on religion. In 1681, William Penn, who belonged to the Quaker church, traveled to the region and began the colonization of a new community based on the idea of religious tolerance. Shortly after, numerous Quakers settled in the area in addition to German and Scottish immigrants. Many of these settlers were fleeing persecution from religious wars. Soon, Catholics, Puritans, Mennonites, Anglicans, and Jews also came to the area, leading to the development of numerous churches. Many of these age old buildings still stand today, and are considered a vital part of Pennsylvania’s culture and history.
Within these hundred year old churches can be found some of the most beautiful stained glass windows in North America. Unfortunately, many of these rare and valuable works of art are at a point where they are starting to degrade due to their old age. Unless something is done to restore these beautiful works, it’s quite possible that they could be lost forever. Church stained glass restoration provides a solution for preserving Pennsylvania’s historic stained and leaded glass windows.
At Church Stained Glass Restoration, we have been dutifully performing this service for over 25 years. Stained glass is our passion and we are honored to work alongside religious communities to ensure its conservation so it can be enjoyed by future generations.
